Biotechnology and Interdisciplinary Studies Building Roof Replacement Project

The south-side roof of the Biotechnology and Interdisciplinary Studies Building is currently being replaced. During the demolition phase, occupants and pedestrians in the area may hear increased noise as the existing roof membrane is removed and new roofing materials are installed. The project is expected to be completed by the end of August 2026.

The staging and construction area is located on the southwest side of the building. Lifting equipment has been positioned within the work zone, which has been clearly marked as off-limits. A stair tower and overhead protective cover have also been installed at the southeast entrance. These protective measures will remain in place until construction is complete, and all equipment has been removed.

During the project, there may be minor adjustments to pedestrian traffic patterns. All building entrances will remain open and accessible throughout construction. Please be aware that overhead work is taking place and use the designated sidewalks when traveling to and from the building or other nearby campus locations.

We ask all members of the campus community to use caution when traveling through the area and to remain mindful of ongoing construction activities.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
