Please be advised: RPI Site Services w/HMA will be conducting milling and paving operations as follows:

Milling: Wednesday, July 30th from 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Paving: Monday & Tuesday, August 4th & 5th, from 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM

During this time, there will be no through traffic from Cook Drive to the top of Sunset. However, emergency access for DPS, police and fire vehicles will be maintained at all times.

We would like to inform you of an important change regarding campus dining options for faculty and staff.

Effective at the end of the current ARCH 2025 Semester on August 15, 2025 the Faculty/Staff 15 Block Meal Plan will be discontinued. Please use any remaining meals before August 15, 2025. 

Join us in celebrating the retirement of Paul Mason Jr., who will retire on Thursday, July 31, following an outstanding 37-year tenure at RPI.

A proud second-generation RPI team member, his father also served the institute for over a decade. Paul joined us in 1987 and rose to the role of Access Control Technician. Access control systems are a cornerstone of campus safety, managing electronic entry to labs, dorms, offices, and other sensitive areas.

Please be advised that the Site Services Department will be overseeing multiple paving projects within the coming weeks.

We will be repaving sidewalks in the following areas:

Beginning Monday, July 14, 2025, the elevated walkway between the JEC and Greene buildings will undergo necessary repairs to its west side. Construction is expected to continue through Friday, August 16th.  During this period, the walkway will be closed to all pedestrian traffic.

Please be advised that a campus-wide steam shutdown is scheduled from 8:00 a.m. on Sunday, August 17th, through 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 20th. 

This is necessary to replace two failed valves on our condensate and steam lines that support our steam and heating systems.

Please be aware there will be updated dining hall hours starting Monday July 7, 2025. They are as follow:

Monday–Friday - Summer Hours: 7:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Closed on Weekends

Commons Dining Hall  

Monday – Wednesday - Summer Hours: 4:30 PM - 10:00 PM

Thursday – Friday - Summer Hours: 4:30 PM - 8:00 PM

Potential Traffic Disruption - Roadway between JRSC and JEC  Generator/Fuel Tank Removal and Generator Installation, July 14th - Months End.

Please be advised that beginning July 14th, work will commence on the removal and replacement of an underground fuel tank and generator at the roadway between JRSC and JEC. This multiphase project may result in intermittent disruptions to vehicular and pedestrian traffic in the area throughout the month of July.
