We would like to inform you that essential repairs to a low-pressure condensate line serving our steam and heating systems will require the temporary closure of portions of Sage Avenue. The affected area is located near the Sage Avenue entrance to the academic campus, between the Ricketts Building and the 87’ Gymnasium.

Auxiliary and Dining Services would like to let everyone know that starting Thursday, 4/24/25, the Argo Cafe will have extended hours. In addition, Free Drip Coffee will be available for late-night studying at the Folsom Library.

Unlimited- Unlimited meals per week to be used in Resident Dining Halls, plus $150 Flex Dollars per year ($75 at the start of each semester). Non-transferable. Available to all students, $8,810/year - $4,405 charged per semester.

All members of the campus community should note the dates for the 2025 Annual Utility Shutdown for Assessment and Repair. Steam outages are scheduled to take place from May 10th -17th. Electrical outages, which are necessary to exercise distribution feeders and test the campus' automatic power transfer switches, is scheduled for May 12th-15th. 

Please check the spreadsheet links on the Administration Division's website for specific outage dates and times for each building.

After 21 years of service at Rensselaer, Dave Ira will be retiring on May 2, 2025. Dave joined Rensselaer in 2004 as Associate Director of Physical Plant. He stepped in as Acting Director in March 2022 and was promoted to the Director’s position in August 2023.

2025 Annual Shutdowns The Annual Utility Shutdown for Assessment and Repair will occur Saturday, May 10th through Saturday May 17th, 2025. The central steam plant will be shut down and there will be selective power outages throughout the campus. Please review the Steam Shutdown and Electrical Outages spreadsheets for your building. Rensselaer Dining is excited to announce Rebecca Hanesack as the new Director of Catering at RPI, bringing 25 years of hospitality experience to the role. 

During her studies at Siena College, Rebecca began her career in hospitality. Involved in nearly every operational and administrative support role, she gained a comprehensive understanding of the industry from the ground up.
