Walkway Between JEC and The Greene Building Under Construction Beginning Monday, July 14th

Beginning Monday, July 14, 2025, the elevated walkway between the JEC and Greene buildings will undergo necessary repairs to its west side. Construction is expected to continue through Friday, August 16th.  During this period, the walkway will be closed to all pedestrian traffic.

Please note that this project will also impact the second-floor entrance into the Greene Building, which serves as the ADA-accessible entry. In coordination with the contractor, a portion of the ramp and walkway will remain accessible with on-site assistance during construction hours. We are also working to ensure after-hours access, although there will be periods when the walkway must be fully closed due to concrete pours and structural work.

RPI will receive at least 24 hours’ notice prior to any full walkway closures, and we will communicate those updates to the campus community promptly.

Additionally, the lower parking lot adjacent to the Greene Building/Quad will serve as the staging area for this project. As a result, most of the lot will be closed off and fenced, with storage trailers positioned within. A protective cover will be installed over the lower building entrance to ensure safe access for occupants entering or exiting the building at that location.
