2026 Campus-Wide Planned Steam and Electrical Maintenance Schedule

Scheduled Outages

Steam Outages
Scheduled to begin Saturday, May 9, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. and continue through Friday, May 15, 2026. We anticipate steam service being restored Thursday afternoon, with full pressure achieved by Friday morning.

Electrical Outages
Scheduled to begin Monday, May 11, 2026 and continue through the evening of Wednesday, May 13, 2026.

Please refer to the attached Steam and Electrical Outage spreadsheets for detailed information regarding dates, times, and affected buildings. Some locations will experience short-term outages lasting between 5 and 120 minutes, while others may have longer service interruptions.

Key Terms

  • Normal Power: Standard electrical service for outlets and lighting
  • Emergency Power: Backup electrical service reserved for critical equipment, typically supported by generators

Special Notes / Considerations

JRSC
A planned Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) upgrade will take place. We will coordinate directly with the Building Coordinator and other impacted parties regarding specific details.

  • Monday, May 11 – Campus-wide feeder switching from 4:00–6:00 p.m.; sustained emergency power outage from 7:00–9:00 p.m.; local power outage (location TBD) from 7:00–11:00 p.m. to enable ATS upgrade work.
  • Tuesday, May 12 – Begin ATS-13 controls upgrade. JRSC will not have backup emergency power during this work.
  • Wednesday, May 13 – Complete controls upgrade and return ATS-13 to normal service. Backup emergency power will be restored upon completion.

BARH, RAHP-A, RAHP-B & Willie Stanton Field
Outages are proposed for Monday and Tuesday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. This is different from the original time slot previously shared.
