Every residence hall comes equipped with free washers and dryers—no coins, no card swipes, no extra cost. Just bring your detergent and you’re good to go.

RPI has teamed up with CSC GO to make laundry less of a hassle and more of a breeze. With the CSC GO app, you can:

• machine availability
• laundry updates via email or text
• laundry room updates

If you have any laundry related questions or there is a need to request service for a washer or dryer on campus, please contact the Facilities Customer Service Center.

If you see a machine out of order please report it, don't assume someone else has. This allows us to quickly address the issue and get the machine back online.

Best Practices

Recommended instructions for use of the machines can be found in each laundry room. High efficiency (HE) detergent is strongly recommended. 

Keep the machines happy (and your clothes clean)!

• Don't Overload

Overstuffing the washers or dryers makes them shake, "walk," and break.
Stick to reasonable loads. 

• No Shoes Allowed

Please don’t wash sneakers, boots, or shoes in the machines.
They can seriously damage the drums — and your shoes.

• Easy on the Soap

These are High-Efficiency (HE) machines.
Use just 1/4 cap of HE detergent — too much soap = sudsy mess.

• Be Gentle with Doors

Don’t rest wet clothes on dryer doors — they break under the weight.
Close machine doors firmly, not forcefully. Slamming = broken locks.
