Washers and dryers are provided in each residence hall and are free of charge for all students who live in on-campus housing.

In addition, Rensselaer partners with CSC GO to provide the following services:

• machine availability
• laundry updates via email or text
• laundry room updates

If you have any laundry related questions or there is a need to request service for a washer or dryer on campus, please contact the Facilities Customer Service Center.

If you see a machine out of order please report it, don't assume someone else has. This allows us to quickly address the issue and get the machine back online.

Best Practices

Recommended instructions for use of the machines can be found in each laundry room. High efficiency (HE) detergent is strongly recommended. 

Do not: 

• use dish detergent, detergent pods or powered detergents.
• put detergent directly in the soap tray.
• use too much soap.
• overload the washers / dryers
