If you've lost your ID, don’t worry — here’s what to do:
Step 1: Request a Replacement
Go to the Campus Access Card Forms page and complete the "Lost ID Replacement Request Form."
Step 2: Get a Temporary Card (Students & Employees Only)
While you're waiting for your new ID, you can request a temporary card from Public Safety.
The temporary card gives you:
- Access to buildings
- Access to your meal plan (if you have one — note: FLEX dollars are not included)
It’s valid for a few days to give you time to find your original card or receive your replacement.
Important: Return Your Temporary Card
You must return the temporary card to Public Safety before picking up your new ID from the Campus Card Office.
If you don’t return it, a $25 fee will be charged to your bursar account.
Replacement Card Fees
- First lost or stolen card: $10
- Each additional lost card: $25
Charges will be added to your student bursar account.
Need a Different Kind of Replacement?
If your ID is damaged, worn out, or you’ve changed your name or role at RPI, you’ll still need to fill out a form. Just select the option that best fits your situation:
- Broken/Worn Card
- Name Change
- Category Change
