The RPI Shuttle service provides safe transportation around campus. All shuttle bus drivers have safety awareness training and strive to stay on schedule. Slight variations may occur due to traffic and/or weather conditions. All riders must show Rensselaer ID to access the shuttle.
INCLEMENT WEATHER
As the season for inclement weather approaches, please be advised that shuttle operations may be impacted by adverse conditions. To ensure the safety of both drivers and passengers, service modifications—including alternate routing, service delays, temporary suspension, or full cancellation—may be implemented as necessary.
In the event that the University closes due to weather-related conditions, all shuttle services will be suspended until normal operations can safely resume.

Gateway Shuttle for Winter Break Sign Ups
RPI’s Department of Parking and Transportation will again offer Gateway shuttle service to the Albany International Airport, Albany Bus Terminal, and Amtrak Train Station for Winter Break. Shuttles depart from the RPI Student Union horseshoe via CDTA bus and RPI Transportation.
Departure dates and times are as follows:
- Thursday, December 18th – 3:00 pm
- Friday, December 19th – 11:00 am and 3:00 pm
- Saturday, December 20th – 7:00 am, 11:00 am and 3:00 pm
- Sunday, December 21st – 7:00 am, 11:00 am and 3:00 pm
- Monday, December 22nd – 7:00 am, 11:00 am and 3:00 pm
